Episode 9: Infinity Warriors

Earth's Mightiest Podcasters...we are not, but we did assemble for this episode with Special Guest, Meagan B. and Professional Dog, Tootsie to talk about the biggest film of the summer- Avengers: Infinity War! We have a lengthy, spoiler-filled, and dusty discussion about the explosive summer blockbuster. We also catch up on some viewing homework as Jason confronts his greatest nemesis, James Spader in order to view Lincoln and Jax hops the train to Philadelphia to pay a visit to Adonis Creed. We each have very strong opinions on who is the cutest Hemsworth Brother is. We address the situation of accidentally watching an Anime and who you should call for help. Jason takes a dive into female driven period pieces with reviews of The Little Hours and The Beguiled. Also we shake things up as Meagan gives us a unique assignment in creating separate film treatments for the one and only Gerard Butler.

Thanos only fears the might of the littlest Hemsworth, Liam.

Episode 8: Giants and Geostorms

No need to bury the lead. We finally rip off the band-aid and review the best film of 2017: GEOSTORM! We extol the gospel that is Gerard Butler and how his Scottish charm can fix climate change. We also speak about a little known indie film called 3 Billboards Outside Ebbings, Missouri. We also touch upon the revealing and surprisingly introspective documentary Andre The Giant while Jason uses it as an excuse to talk about Pro Wrestling. We get very loud and give an almost spoiler-free review of A Quiet Place (we warn where we're about to spoil at 28:41 of the episode, skip to 29:11). Surprisingly, we both have deep knowledge of Bobby Cannavale and his film history. Also we continue our journey into current Spielberg with a rundown of The Post and manage to make a successful segue into our experiences in Jumanji. We're pretty sure no one has or will do that again in the history of humanity. We also go to 2002 to discuss Two Weeks Notice and the death of the romantic comedy as well as the resurgence of the female led R rated comedy in Girls Trip.

Haddish and Andre prepare for their final battle. Butler and Krasinski look on in rapt anticipation.

Episode 7: We are All Emily Blunt

Giant robots, weed pills, Martian Marathons, and Wolf Warriors are only a small sampling of the topics discussed in this Giant-Sized episode of Observe and report. We discuss how Christopher Nolan's Inception has ruined several families, how all of humanity participates in the gestalt that is Emily Blunt, We discuss the fate of the Marvel Cinematic Universe plus a glowing review of Pacific Rim:  Uprising.

Episode 6: Inside the Character Actor's Studio

In this episode we discuss we discuss the x-factor that a character actor brings to the table. Not every actor gets to be on a billboard or to have their name above the title, but they do make or break a film or tv series. Also we have a deep discussion on basic cable science fiction. Jason talks about almost meeting celebrities on several occasions and running into Joel Kinnaman's agent/brother. Also we discuss the ridiculousness of the title Blade Runner, not to be confused with Wesley Snipes' Blade. And we manage to top things off with a trip to England to discuss Midsomer Murders.

Episode 5: Boys Do Cry

It's the dead of winter and the Oscars approach, so you know what that means? That's right! We're talking about Goon 2: Last of the Enforcers...and also some small films no one ever heard of like The Shape of Water and Ladybird. Also we discuss the whereabouts of Christian Bale, the comedy careers of Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert, Fictional Teachers and somehow we stumble into a discussion and personal revelations on the state of masculinity in american film and the expression of emotion in teenage boys. Like that's an actual thing that happens in this episode. Enjoy!

Episode 4: Blasters and Burglars and Bake Offs Oh My!

In this episode Jax and Jason discuss Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi. (Spoiler alert: We don't go easy on it.) We discuss our British Bake Off fantasies and Jason comes to the understanding that "Hollywood" isn't just a nickname for pro wrestlers. We also debate the facial hair and film choices of John Krasinski, the logistics of chainsaw prostheses (we know how to pluralize prosthesis on this podcast), and much more!
