Episode 8: Giants and Geostorms

No need to bury the lead. We finally rip off the band-aid and review the best film of 2017: GEOSTORM! We extol the gospel that is Gerard Butler and how his Scottish charm can fix climate change. We also speak about a little known indie film called 3 Billboards Outside Ebbings, Missouri. We also touch upon the revealing and surprisingly introspective documentary Andre The Giant while Jason uses it as an excuse to talk about Pro Wrestling. We get very loud and give an almost spoiler-free review of A Quiet Place (we warn where we're about to spoil at 28:41 of the episode, skip to 29:11). Surprisingly, we both have deep knowledge of Bobby Cannavale and his film history. Also we continue our journey into current Spielberg with a rundown of The Post and manage to make a successful segue into our experiences in Jumanji. We're pretty sure no one has or will do that again in the history of humanity. We also go to 2002 to discuss Two Weeks Notice and the death of the romantic comedy as well as the resurgence of the female led R rated comedy in Girls Trip.

Haddish and Andre prepare for their final battle. Butler and Krasinski look on in rapt anticipation.
